The IdeaPad U150 has a slick, flat-black exterior that does a great job of resisting fingerprints, a welcome change from the glossy lids of too many similar portables. (A red version is available, as well.) There's a subtle, futuristic pattern embossed on the lid that's repeated on the silver wrist rest. Overall, the effect gives the IdeaPad U150 a distinctive look, without going over-the-top like the similar Acer(BTP-63D1 Battery) Ferrari One does.
While netbooks still aren't for everyone they have had an effect on the laptop market that everyone, except computer manufacturers, can be happy about -- they've cut the cost of laptops in half including many in our Best Computer Deals of 2010 roundup.
This feeling is further reinforced by the light 1.3kg weight and incredible FPCBP163Z battery life. Lasting 10-and-a-half hours in our light-use test, this netbook lasted around two hours longer than any other netbook that we've tested.
